I am a visual artist, weaver, researcher, and writer based in Amsterdam. My practice takes cues from encounters, discussions, observations, and memories and gets further shape through material and theoretical research. Moving fluidly between dichotomies such as art/craft, theory/practice, process/result, textual/material, my research and work often get interwoven with my personal life and the medium of textile, both as a metaphor and a tangible material.
I studied TXT (text and textile) at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie until 2019 and am currently pursuing a rMA in Artistic Research at the University of Amsterdam. I have developed work for and with other artists, such as Lena Violetta Leitner and Yael Davids, and within various Dutch and international contexts, such as the Icelandic Textile Center and State of Concept in Athens. I also work as a language teacher and organise workshops.
