snapshots entangled

How can I translate the photos on my phone into a tapestry? What happens when fleeting digital images are reinterpreted through the slow, tactile process of weaving? This handwoven tapestry is the result of an experiment in transforming quick snapshots into a physical, textile object — one shaped by the parameters of time, colour, materiality, touch, and tension.

The piece is woven by hand with a cotton warp and a weft of virgin wool from Greece, Iceland and the Netherlands.
